Christopher and his fiancee Margery Dudeney emigrated to Canada; they married in 1914 in Montreal in the Anglican Church of St. Martin. In 1923, they settled in the United States. Their first home there was in Birmingham, Michigan, and they later moved to Port Washington, New York.
They had five children:

3. James Shirley (1920-2004); m. Patricia Weston (Stone), 25 Oct 1953, in White Plains, NY.
4. Catherine H. ("Cathie"), (1923-1986); m. Samuel Wellesley Percy (19 Jan 1920-13 Jun 2008), 23 Jan 1947 in New York, NY.
5. Elizabeth Ann ("Nancy")(1926-2009); m. Richard J. Renson (29 Jul 1923-1 Mar 1995).
