Gibson at Cincinnati, Ohio; March 1855 moved to Lawrence, Kansas; senator in free-state legislature; Sept. 5, 1861 additional paymaster, volunteers; 1862 married Mary A. Ward at Leavenworth, Kansas;Aug. 22, 1864 dismissed; June 2, 1870 died at Waterville, Kansas and buried in Oak Hill Cemetery at Atchison, Kansas; July 30, 1873 his widow applied for a pension (application #307148/certificate #273314); Child: Anna Gibson Adams,Aug. 22, 1845 born at Walnut Hills near Cincinnati, Ohio
