There is a mystery surrounding Catherine's maiden name. Here is my reasoning for my selection of "O'Shea":
I did a trip to PEI. I went to the Provincial Archives and got photocopies of the Baptismal records of the children of William and Catherine. The records are handwritten, not typed. Their first son was John, and the spelling of Catherine's last name looks like Neil. The baptismal record of both Patrick and Margaret Brazel looks like Shea. The marriage record of my great great grandfather Michael Brazel lists her last name as O'Shea. So which one is correct? LOL - Good question! Shea looks like the winner by quantity, but I chose O'Shea because that what Michael's marriage certificate sais, and there were O'Shea's in the St Patrick Church cemetery.
I have copies of all these records, so contact me with any quesions.
