GALESBURG REGISTER MAIL OBITUARY - 1996
Clarence W. "Hootie" Wilson, 74, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Galesburg, died Wednesday, February 7, 1996, at North Kansas City Hospital, in North Kansas City, MO. Born May 13, 1921, in Galesburg to Ralph D. and Frances M. Fisk Wilson, he married Helen L. Carrico. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Stephen D. of Milan; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Juanita Gatt of Cadillac, Michigan. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra. A Kansas City resident for 26 years, he was a safety inspector for the National Transportation Safety Board, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Galesburg. He was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services were February 10 at White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, Missouri. Newcomers White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone was in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
