Ms. Dessie I. Chastain, 81, of Greenwood, Ark. died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greenwood Freewill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Everett Chastain.
Survivors include three sons, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 18, 2000, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark. with burial at Douglass Cemetery in Jenny Lind, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
