Mrs. Diana M. Cannady, nee Sackett, widow of the late Justice Elijah Cannady, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a son, Philo Cannady in Evansville, Inc., where she had been making her home for the past few years. She was 71 years old.

She was born in Washington County, Ill., March 21, 1851. Surviving are two sons - Elijah Cannaday of Belleville and Philo in Evansville; also twelve grandchildren, and three brothers - William Sackett in Nebraska, and Robert and Edward in Missouri.

The funeral will take place at 3 p.m. Friday from the Gundlach chapel to Walnut Hill Cemetery. The remains are expected to arrive here tonight. Rev. W. H. Whitlock will have charge of the funeral services.
