Rolla Daily News, Monday, 17 July 1978: LEE R. BLACKWELL, Rolla, died Saturday 15 July 1978 at Phelps County Memorial Hospital. He was 74. He is survived by his widow, Verna, a daughter, Joy Trainer, California and two grandchildren. Mr. Blackwell was a former President of Local 864 of the Teamsters Union. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Glen Funeral Home Chapel in Rolla with Father Joseph Carlo officiating. Buriel will be in the Rolla Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM today. The family has asked that Memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Heart Association.
