Devoted wife for 41 years of William "Bob" Derrington; mother to Bill Barnett & James Derrington; grandmother to Dakota, Brian & Christopher. A devout Catholic, Sue enjoyed playing cards, reading, and bowling. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

Sue died in the Indianapolis IUPI ICU unit after suffering from complications of a lung biopsy nearly three weeks ago. She had been battling cirrhosis of the liver for the last 18 months and had just been diagnosed with lung cancer.

We, Sue's family & friends, will never understand how someone who has never drank or smoked a day in her life could end up with not one, but two, diseases that ultimately killed her. Fiercely protective of her family, Sue was also the kind of person who would open up her home and allow her children's friends' to stay as long as needed. She was kind. She was caring. And she's been taken from us far too soon. Rest in peace, "Mom", for you are now in the arms of Jesus & completely healed. Blessed be.

Sue is also survived by her mother & step-father, 2 sisters; a brother; a step-daughter and a step-son.
