Mrs. Mazie Dixon Absher, 76, of Crumpler, widow of Feilds Absher, died Tuesday afternoon, May 12.
She was born in Ashe County Oct. 24, 1904, daughter of the late Wiley and Sessie Reeves Dixon.
Mrs. Absher is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paige Murray of Boone and Miss Mary Zell Absher of Crumpler; one son, Bobby Absher of Crumpler; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Goodman of Jefferson; and by four grandchildren.
Services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Senter Primitive Baptist Church in Crumpler.
Officiating were Elder Dewey Roten and the Rev. Bruce Roten. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund of Senter Primitive Baptist Church, care of Paul Bare, Crumpler, N.C., 28617.
