The beautiful little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Shaffer died at their home Tuesday night at 11 o'clock after an extended illness of spinal meningitis. She was born November 16, 1908 and died March 5, 1912, being 3 years, 3 months, and 18 days old. She was the flower of the family, always bright and cheerful, and was beloved by all that knew her.

Little Elizabeth Adelaide was one of those unusually bright winsome angels that come into the home to shed the love of an angel, "a little child shall lead them," only to be called to a better home. Her death has cast a gloom over the home and no one, save those who have had a similar experience, can fully appreciate such a loss.

The funeral will take place Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the home, conducted by Rev. Coffman, with Coppock & Lee in charge of the remains. The interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

They are idols of hearts and households
They are angels of God in disguise
His sunlight still gleams in their eyes.
Oh, those truants from home and Heaven
They have made me more manly and mild
And I know now how Jesus could liken
The kingdom of God to a child.

-- Dickens

A short path of happy life
Her little feet had trod
Ere a glorious place was given her
Before the throne of God
