Ernest R. Billings
Ernest R. billings, 81, of Prescott, died yesterday afternoon at Osawatomie. He was a retired railway mail clerk.
The son of Joseph C. and Maria Jane Cassell Billings, he was born Jan. 31, 1884, in Prescott. On Sept 15, 1905, he married Bertha Livengood, who died Sept. 27, 1962.
Surviving are a son, Raymond T. Billings, of Kansas City, Kas., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Billings was a member of the Prescott methodist Church, the Fulton Masonic Lodge, AF & AM, the Fort Scott Consistory and the Railway Mail Association.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Torneden Chapel, Pleasanton, with Rev. Clyde Coriell officiating. Burial will be in Prescott Cemetery, where the Fulton Lodge will conduct masonic graveside services.
