Mrs Effie Arden Long, 68 years of Neosho, MO departed this life on Thursday afternoon, 1/28/2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Effie entered this life on 11/23/1941 in rural Delaware Co., OK near Southwest City, MO, born to the union of Everet L. and Verna Pearl Himegartdner Cooper. Her formative years were spent in Goodman, MO
Throughout her life she worked in the field of management including managing the Vicmon Motel and Restuarant in Canadian, TX, the Eagle Picher Credit Union and for the last 14 years she was office manager for the Osage Door Co. in Goodman, MO and later in Miami, OK.

Effie centered her life around her family and friends. She was of the Full Gospel Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Verna Pearl Himegartdner Cooper; two brothers, Keith and Ivan Cooper; a sister, Esther Lewis; and a niece, Terra Lewis.

Effie is survived by two sons, four grandchildren, four sisters, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs Long are at 2:00pm Sunday, 1/31/2010 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastors Brock Cummins and Jared Lewis officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Lanagan Cemetery, Lanagan, MO.

Memorials are being directed to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the personal care of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, MO.
