Richard Charles Forkner

Richard was 3 yrs old when his father Richard A Forkner died. His mother Delphina (Pritchett) then married John Myars. The family living together in 1900 was his two sisters: Charlotte and Capitola, his mother and step-father and himself in Van Duzen Township, Humboldt County, California. His older siblings were Gaines 16, who lived nearby, and two older brothers Lewis Jefferson (b.1875) and Albert A (b.1878) who live away.

Richard stayed in Humbolt County, California his entire life. He lived alone in all census' throughout the years and worked as a stock hand laborer, a county road construction repairman.

In 1917 he Registered for WWI draft at age 26, and then at 51yr old in 1942 he Registered for WWII draft. On his draft card he stated he lived in Bridgeville and had 'no phone'. And the person who would always know where he was would be Gaines Forkner.
