"Funeral service for Mrs. Harlan E. McClellan will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Chuch, and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. McClellan, wife of Ozark's mayor, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, at her home here after a long illness. A native of Ozark, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Frances Barclift Church, pioneer citizens here. A member of the Methodist church, Mrs. McClellan was past worthy matron of the Ozark Chapter of the Eastern Star and a past president of the Ozark Home Demonstration Club. Surviviors other than her husband include a daughter, Mrs. Iluf Freeman of Hayward, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Floyd Crane of Ozark; two brothers, Ben Church of Ozark and Roy Church of Landover, MD.; and a grandson, Johnny Mack Freeman of Hayward. Business firms of Ozark will be closed during the funeral hour."

The following is from the "75 Yrs Ago, The Spectator, Ozark, AR., July 30, 1927", McClellan-Church. When Harlan McClellan and Miss Edna Church drove out of town Thursday afternoon merely waving at their friends, no one guessed they were matrimonial bent and were leaving for Ft. Smith where the happy event take place. A message from them that night said they were married in that city at 7 p.m. They went to Seminole where Harlan has a splendid position. Harlan is one of the county's most capable business men with a most agreeable personality. Miss Edna is a beautiful and charming young women, gentle in her manners. She is employed by the Home Telephone Company and one of the Company's most courteous employees. These deservedly popular young people have the best wishes and congratulations of a host of friends.
