Edward Renkoski, 91, of Raytown MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2010. Edward was born in Pioneer, MO to Andrew and Annie where he spent his childhood before moving to Kansas City as an adult. He was a WWII veteran in the Houn'Dawg unit out of Carthage MO. He worked at a car dealership while attending Business College. He retired from Bendix after serving many years as an accountant. His family always came first. He was an original member of the Board of Directors of Raytown Little League where he managed his son's team for many years. Both he and his wife, Edna, were constant supporters of all his children's sporting events. He served as an usher at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, loved fishing, gardening, smoking his pipe and listening to local sporting events. He was very meticulous in everything he did.
Edward is survived is by his son, Dale and his wife Debbie; four daughters, Debbie, Paula, Lisa, and Sandy; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Amber; and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and their children. He was preceded in death by Edna, his wife, his parents, and his 10 older brothers and sisters.
His family is grateful for the time They had with him and will miss him dearly. He can finally join his wife of 61 years.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Monday, February 1, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 8812 E Gregory Blvd, Raytown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
