"Charles Wedge, 83, died Sunday in the home of his daughter Mrs. Leon Viall in Crystal Lake, Ill., where he had been making his home for the past year. Mr. Wedge, who had been in poor health for several years, died suddently of a heart attack. The body was brought to Waupun from Crystal Lake Wednesday ... Mr. Wedge was born in Waupun Jan. 14, 1857. He was married to Miss Jessie Murphy, who died in 1918. Mr. Wedge resided on a farm until a year after his marriage, moving to Waupun where he was employed in the Howard Hardware store for a number of years. He is preceded in death by his wife and three sons, Dr. Athol Wedge, James Wedge, and Leslie Wedge. Surviving are a son, Lyle Wedge of Kankakee; a daughter, Mrs. Viall of Crystal Lake, Ill., and four grandchildren, Mrs. Luvin Fanshaw of Waupun, Miss Ruth Wedge of Kankakee, Mrs. Max Brisbane of Chicago, and Leslie Wedge of Crystal Lake."
