Audrey, age 69, Longtime resident of Waukesha County, died peacefully Sunday. She was born the daughter of Roy & Vivian Carlson Sr. Audrey was a Deputy Clerk for 16 years and also served Waukesha County as County Clerk for 14 years. She retired in 1989. Audrey enjoyed gardening, coin collecting, reading and the large family she married into. Dear sister of Jeanne (Ben) Morgan and Roy Carlson. Preceded to heaven by her father, a brother, Phillip Carlson and sister, Erva Carlson Schmidt. Audrey was married to the late Earl J. Simon for 18 years and is lovingly survived by his children, Carole (Cliff) Wolf, Judith (John) Vetta, Diane (John) Keidel, Janet (Hank) Bacich, the late Mariel (the late Norman) Prondzinski, Annette (Jim) Tatman, Joan (Tom) Miller, Earl John (Debie Hankel), Donald and Ronald Simon, 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service were held on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army of Waukesha would be appreciated. A special thank you to the staff of Froedtert Memorial Hospital.
