James "Jim" A. Taylor married Eugenia Druscilla Melton on 24 November 1882 at her parent's home in the Winn Hill Community, Jack County, Texas. Eugenia Melton moved to Jack County with her parents in 1880. After her marriage to James A. Taylor, the couple moved to Duncan, Oklahoma for a time but returned to the Flint Creek Community in 1901. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Survived by five sons - Joe Taylor, Harve Taylor, Oscar Taylor, Bert Taylor, and Elbert Taylor.
