to the park on Friday of the previous
week for a day of fun. •
Miss Rita McOunegill, third
grade teacher, treated her children
to a day at the park on Friday.

with a play this past week. Parent*

To Mark 90th Birthday
Anniversary
, COHNBRSVILLE — Mrs. Kath-
•rine B. Jfercer, will observe her
90th birthday anniversary with
her family Sunday, June 4, at the
Dublin American Legion home.
She resides at 601 W. »2nd Street
here where 'she live* alone in a
trailer and do*s all her own housework.
'
Mrs. Mercer, was born June 4,
1872, In Bush county, one of six
children of Joseph and Isabell May.
Although she has lived In Connersville
for the past five years, she
spent moat of her life in and
around Dublin. Her husband was
th* late Jonas Mercer.
' Mrs. Mercer has three sons,
Carl and Quyle, of Connersville,
and Luther, of New Castle; and
four daughters, Mrs. Marie Swain,
of. Anderson; Mrs. LaVon Thalls,
of Hagerstown; Mrs. Jesaie Sutton,
of Cambridge City, and Mrs. Evelyn
Clark, of Tampa, Fla.
She also has 18 children, 41
great-grandchildren and six greatgieat-
grandchildren. she has two
living brothers, Bert May, of Rush
county, and Frank May, of Montana;
and two living sisters, Mrs.
Bertha V. Beaver, of Carthage
rural route, and Mrs. Nellie White,
of Laura, Ind.
Mrs. Mercer—has many hobbies
such as piecing quilts, embroidering
>nd crocheting, all of which
she still enjoys doing. Making of
artificial flowers was a former
hobby.
She is an active member of the
Cambridge City Naiarenc church.

died last Thursday evening.
H« was a native of Ohio.
Survivors include the widow,
Eva; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Vornanf,
and Mrs. Ida Lamott, both of
Rant Germantown; a stepgrandson,
and nieces an neT)h«ws.
Services for Mr, McCray were
held Monday at 8 p. m. at the Fisher
Mortuary. Rev. William F. Harris
officiated. Burial was in the
Lutheran cemetery at East
