Helen L. Bunch, 98, of Rushville, died Jan. 26, 2010.

Born April 29, 1911 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Bishop, both deceased. She married Jesse Bunch June 8, 1932; he preceded her in death April 15, 1958.

Mrs. Bunch was a lifelong resident of Rushville. She was a 1929 graduate of Rushville High School. She was retired from the accounting department of the U.S. Government Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison. Her memberships include the American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella (Past Regent), BPW and St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughter, Judith (Harold) Wolfson of Wellesley, Mass.; daughter-in-law, Gloria Bunch of Rushville; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sons, Eugene and James; a brother, Robert Bishop; and sisters, Loretta Turk, Theresa Darnell and Marjorie Emsweller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with the Rev. William Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville.
