Baytown, TX - Thelma G. Barras, 89, died Jan. 28 at a Baytown, TX hospital.

Born on June 10, 1912 in Savannah, Mrs. Barras lived in Groves, TX for 40 years and was a recent resident of Allenbrook Nursing Home in Baytown. She was a Sales Clerk at K-Mart in Groves, TX and was a member of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. A. Barras; one sister; two brothers; daughter, Elaine Cantwell; and one great-grandchild.

Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Helen Smith of Alief, HI; daughter, Marie Whittredge of Baytown; sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Willie Heitman of Savannah; brothers and sister-in-law, Elmo Howe of Savannah, and Lee O. and Virginia Howe of Jesup; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service: 1:30 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Monsignor Robert Barzyk officiating.
