Hopkins, Charles A.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Chas. A. Hopkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Hopkins, prominent and pioneer residents of Damon, which occurred in San Jaun, Texas, last Thursday morning. At the time of Mr. Hopkins' death, he was 35 years of age, and a wonderful type of manhood. He was not so well known in this community, having spent most of his life in the north, but the many friends of his parents, mourn with them, in his sudden passing.
The remains were brought to Rosenberg, Saturday. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Ward, in Rosenberg, Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Bell, of the Methodist Church, conducting the services. Intermnet was made in the W.O.W. Cemetery.
Deceased is survived by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
