Jane L. Adkins, age 85 of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was born in Queens, NY on July 22, 1924. On February 14, 1942, she married Horace Adkins and they spent 63 years together. For years, she was active in Church work at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, where her husband taught Sunday School for 25 years. She was co-manager of Scenic Terrace Apartments for over 30 years, was an avid golfer and bowler. She served as president of the G.K.W.B.A. for one year.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Adkins; parents, Lester and Wealthy Nunmaker Love; sons, Dennis Adkins and Charles Adkins; 4 sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Hackney; son, Ted Adkins and wife Penny; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Middlesettlements Cemetery for the interment service.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
