Cause of death was pleural pneumonia and he was buried in what appears to read Iron Hill Cemetery. Gasconade County cemetery records specify that he was buried in Cleavesville Cemetery. His widow, Arminda Cantley, indicated on the 1900 census that she was the mother of six children and that five are living.
