Anne Harding Cornish came with her family of seven children to America in 1880. They docked in Philadelphia on 8 December 1880 on the American Line, the only line to fly the American flag at that time. They lived in St. Louis until 8 December 1884, when they went by train to Weatherford, Texas, and from there to Graham by mail coach, arriving on 10 December 1884. Mr. and Mrs. Harding lived in Graham until 1886 when they moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Harding was a tailor by profession for W.C. Beckham & Son for many years.
