A.M. Bowen married Miss Louella Bump in 1895 at Palo Pinto County, Texas. She preceded him in death.

Services for Adolphus M. Bowen, 76, were held at the First Christian Church officiated by Rev. J.E. Evans of Huntsville, a former pastor assisted by Rev. C.W. Harrison, the pastor. Mr. Bowen was born in Falls County, near the town of Marlin. In 1871, Adolphus Bowen moved with his father and step-mother to Brown County. His mother died just after his birth. His father moved on to Bosque County, Texas by 1879 and Adolphus was still living with his father. He spent a few years in Palo Pinto County but lived most of his life in Graham, Texas. Mr. Bowen moved to Young County in 1888 from Brown County, Texas. In 1899, the Bowen family moved to the Brad community in Palo Pinto. The family lived near James George Bump until they moved to Graham in 1920. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survived by one daughter - Grace Bowen, two sisters, one brother.
