Lulu Skare 1899-1993

Lulu Josephine Skare, 94, Bagley, died Saturday, February 6, 1993, at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley.
Lulu was born on January 11, 1899, in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, to Ole and Ingeborg Hellerud. She married Elmer Alfred Skare on January 17, 1924, in Brooten, Minnesota. After their marriage, they moved to Bagley and farmed southwest of town. They resided there until Elmer's death on August 13, 1958. She moved to a house in Bagley in 1972 where she lived until she became a resident of Greensview Health Care Center in 1988. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and its Golden Age group, the Bagley Garden Club and the Farmer's Union.
Survivors include her two ons, Orlan of Willmar, Minnesota and Elmo of Bemidji; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and nine sisters.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 11 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley with the Rev. Dennis Brovold officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley and one hour before the services at the church. Interment will be at the Bagley City Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the Faith Lutheran Memorial Fund.
