CONRAD - Kenneth M. "Kenny" Faire, 90, a World War II Army veteran and electrician, died of Parkinson's disease Saturday at the Pondera Medical Center Extended Care Facility.
Kenny was born to Merton and Bernice (Harris) Faire on December 31, 1919, in Conrad. He attended school in Conrad and graduated in 1939, from Conrad High School. He joined the National Guard and was in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific until his honorable discharge in 1945. Kenny went on to college in Chicago for two years to become an electrician. He opened Ken's Electric in Conrad where he worked until 1984, when he retired to his A-frame in Valier.
Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed making airplane and steam engine motors and just about anything he could make run. Due to his health he moved to the Horizon Lodge in 2004. In 2009, he moved to the Pondera Medical Center Extended Care Unit until his passing.
Survivors include his twin sister, a sister, a brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Frances Moritz and Esther Moritz.
