Although a sufferer for several years with a weak heart, he was a sophomore in the Washington Center High School and planned after the completion of his high school and college courses to become a worker in the cause of temperance; but God planned it otherwise. He was a faithful attendant at the Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren and was an active Sunday-school scholar there.
Funeral services at the home of his parents by the undersigned assisted by Rev. Priest of the U. B. Church. The next morning the body was taken to Claiborne, Ohio, the former family home, where funeral services were held and interment made.
