Mr. Babcock was born in Hastings and was a life resident. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served overseas as a staff sergeant. He was a member of the Lavere-Harrington Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Os. Prior to his illness he was employed by the State Thruway and also formerly with the GLF in Central Square.
Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Jeanne Babcock, are 3 daughters, Elaine, Lucinda and Valerie Babcock; a brother, Bernard, and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Clark, all of Hastings. ~ Mexico Independent, Thursday, November 29, 1962.
