Samuel died while serving in Capt. Andrew Gardner's Co. in the 1690 Phip's Expedition against the French in Canada.

He m. Oct. 16, 1661 at Roxbury, Elizabeth Seaver, dau. of Robert Seaver and Elizabeth Ballard, bapt. at Roxbury Nov. 19, 1643. She d. as Samuel's widow at Roxbury Dec. 9, 1731, Æ 88.

Samuel was the father of eleven children born at Roxbury, Mass., including:

• iv. Samuel Craft, Jr, b. July 13, 1669, d. Dec. 9, 1709 at Roxbury, Æ 33; m. Dec. 25, 1693 at Roxbury, Elizabeth Sharp, dau. of Lieut. John Sharp & Martha Vose, bapt. at Roxbury Aug. 20, 1671. She d. at Roxbury Apr. 18, 1743, Æ 72. She m. 2) at Roxbury May 8, 1718 as his 2nd wife, James Shed.
