Services for E.B. "Kid" Milam were officiated by Larry Pratt of Eliasville and Jimmy Jividen, minister of Norman, Oklahoma, former minister of Eliasville.

E.B. Milam married Ethel Whitmire on 29 April 1913 at Graham, Texas officiated by Young County Judge E.W. Fry.

Milam had lived in Eilasville all of his life. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.

Ethel and E.B. Milam lived in the same farm house south of Eliasville all of their married life. It was the same house E.B. Milam was born.

Elmer was one of the finest baseball players in Young County history and started playing in the Men's League at the age of 14. He stood six feet tall and weighed 190 pounds, his older teammates called him "Kid". Milam may have been the best catcher ever to play baseball in Young County. In one game before World War I, Kid Milam threw out the same baserunner trying to steal second base 10 times. In those days, one could sent the same player in to run as often as you wanted. So 10 times, he tried unsuccessfully to steal.

E.B. and Ethel Milam grew up in the South Prairie community which was located between South Bend and Ivan on Hwy 67.

Survived by his wife; one son - Zohn Milam; one daughter - Charlotte Hutcheson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
