BAIRD — Funeral for Jack Bryson, 89, of Oplin was to be at 3 p.m. Monday in Godfrey Chapel with Jack Lanham, Abilene Church of Christ minister, officiating.
Burial was to be in Oplin Cemetery.
Mr. Bryson died Sunday in a Baird nursing home.
Born Aug. 30, 1880 in Cross Plains, he farmed in the county most of his life, except for a 15-year period when he lived in Abilene. He received his 50-year pin from the Baird Masonic Lodge in 1966.
Mrs. Bryson died in 1963.
Surviving are three sons, Leslie of Big Spring, Hicks of Abilene and John of Midland; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Roberson, Mrs. Marjorie May and Mrs. Irma O'Shields, all of Abilene, Mrs. Hazel Lofton of Big Spring, Mrs. Christine Correll of Baird and Mrs. Minnie Grant of Lawn; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie McDonald of Colorado City, Miss Marie Bryson of Cross Plains and Mrs. Hattie Lacy of Capitan, NM; 29 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
