Mrs. Catharine McClintic a greatly esteemed resident of near Belleville died on Monday. Deceased was the mother of M Luther McClintic, Mrs. Dr. H C Walker & Mrs. Geo. F Stackpole of Lewistown, and Hon. Joseph H & John D McClintic of Union Twnp.

Mrs. Catharine McClintic aged and respected Christian lady of near Belleville mother of JH, John D & M Luther McClintic & Mrs. Dr Walker & Mrs. Geo F Stackpole died Monday of this week at her home in Union Twnp age 76yr. She was one those motherly women whose good offices will be remembered by many(1-6-1897 Free Press)
Lwtn Gazette IN Belleville Jan 4 1896 Mrs. Catharine relict of James McClintic deceased age 75y8m15d died. She was resident of the west end of the valley all her life. Her husband died 1861. She is survived by 5 son 2 daughters Joseph, John D, David R, Geo V, M Luther, Mrs. H C Walker & Mrs. G F Stackpole.

Mrs. Catharine McClintic was born near Allensville in 1821. At one time she was a resident of Barrville spent the last years of her life after the death of her husband in Bellville. Her death was a result from pleurisy and succeeded an illness of about 2wk. She died at age 75yr8m15d. One who knew her well wrote thus. Mrs. McClintic was one of those sweet characters that are developed by the chastening of the Lord for she was made perfect throught suffering having for a number of yr. passed under the rod of the Master her latter days being made more painful by a sever cough. Her love was great not only for her friends but her chaity extended to all and she had no words of condemnation.

The Isenberg ancestors first settled about 1735 in Berrks Co. then in Phila Co PA about 1760 they moved to Fredrick Co MD, Upon the death of the first generation about 1804 five of the second generation Nicholas, Henry,Enock, Peter, Gabriel, then with their familes moved to Alexandria Hunt. Co area. While four of them stayed in that section, Grabriel and his nephew David moved to Mifflin Co. David was married to Margaret Steel and had 6 children. upon her death David sold his land and moved to Ohio with 3 of his children another had died as a baby and Catharine and Margaret stayed in Pa. probably with their Aunt Katy who never married. Catherine married James McClintic and Margaret married Dr Joseph Henderson.(this was part of letter written to Mr Stroup in Nov 1969)
