Rector Edwards, 91, died Wednesday.
Edwards was a lifelong resident of Texas and moved to Gainesville in 1920.
He is survived by his wife Bertha Mae; a son, Leon Calhoun; and a granddaughter.
Services will be in Vernie Keel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M. H. Lott officiating, assisted by Hulen Goodin. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
