"Andrew Davidson Clark, son of Sarah and Ivan Clark, was born Nov. 16, 1880, at Abingdon, Va., and departed this life Feb. 18, 1936, at his home northwest of Wheeling, age 55 years, 3 months and 2 days. He came to Missouri in the year 1902 and was united in marriage to Etta Littrell on Nov. 20, 1904. To this union six children were born, namely, Russell, Ralph, Aubrey, Wade and Mildred, all of the home, and Annabel, now Mrs. Richard Kimmis of St Louis.

He united with the Wheeling Baptist Church Sept. 13, 1903, and was a member of the order of M.W.A. He was a devoted husband and father and did many good deeds for his friends in a quiet, unassuming way.

Besides his immediate family, he is survived by one brother, Wade H. Clark of Pendleton, Ind. He was preceded in death by his mother, June 22, 1935.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Wheeling. The Smiley undertaker was in charge. The sermon was conducted by Rev. E. L. Huckell of Chillicothe and the remains laid to rest in the Wheeling cemetery." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune (Chillicothe, Missouri), February 22, 1936
