He was a member of the Campbellsburg First Christian Church.
He served in World War II as a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army, was a retired employee of the old Link Handle Company in Salem, and was a member of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security.
Survivors include a son, William L. Jean of Salem, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, June 3, at Dawalt Funeral Home with interment at Hop Cemetery in Campbellsburg with full military honors.
