Lande, Nethie Klein Nethie Klein Lande, born in Tyler, Texas, passed away January 24, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. Nethie was the daughter of Jenny and Gabriel Klein,immigrants from Poland and Russia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, who was the love of her life and her "living angel". She was the youngest of seven girls and is survived by her sister, Dorothy Boris, her children, Gail Bayer and husband Jeffrey, Sidney Lande and wife Beverly, Sheri Vine and husband Jack. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Lande, Ken Lande and wife, Brooke, Annie Goldberg and husband, Scott, Lindsey Bayer, Lisa Vine and Drew Vine; great granddaughter Sienna Lande. Nethie was a graduate of Tyler Junior College. During World War II she worked tirelessly for the USO. She worked side by side with her husband for over 50 years at the Paul Lande Company. Nethie was lovingly referred to by her husband as the Yellow Rose of Texas. Nethie was an avid bridge player, whose longest and dearest friends were her bridge partners. Her passions were her children and friends, dating back to her first home on Clover Lane. We would like to thank her caregivers, Araceli, Agnes, and Aline. In lieu of flowers, donations, in her honor, may be made to Temple Emanu-El Paul Lande Camp Scholarship Fund or the American Cancer Society. Funeral services are at 12 Noon, Monday, January 25, 2010 in Lefkowitz Chapel at Temple Emanu-El, 8500 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, Texas 75225. Rabbi David E. Stern will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
