Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at O'Connor Funeral Home. His memorial service is 2:30 p.m. Monday at O'Connor Memorial Chapel, with burial with military honors in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Survivors include seven daughters; eight sons; a sister, Norma Elliott of Great Falls, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Jarvey, in 2007; his parents, Corbett and Mary Jarvey; a son, Garry Owen Jarvey; and a daughter, Norma Jean Jarvey.
Daniel was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Great Falls. He married Lillian Carrier on Oct. 27, 1947.
Daniel served in the U.S. Army during WWII (Pacific Theatre).
Daniel worked several farm and ranch jobs in the Great Falls area. He also worked for the Anaconda Company, the railroad, the city of Great Falls and retired from the county Road Department in 1988, at age 62.
Daniel enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, fly-tying, reading Western stories, football, boxing and other sports. He also enjoyed storytelling with his family.
