OSTERVILLE — Virginia A. Worthington, 87, of Osterville, died on Jan. 19, 2010.
Ms. Worthington was born in Lawrence, and wife of the late Kent L. Worthington. She was employed by the Navy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology for twelve years, and later was employed by the federal government, including the White House, until her retirement in 1979.
She enjoyed skiing and ice skating, and she loved New England, especially Cape Cod. Virginia was a communicant at Our Lady of Assumption Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Weslee E. Desforge of Punta Gorda, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Wianno Avenue, Osterville. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
