Willie Mae Pritchard passed away Friday, October 26, 2001 at her home in Longton. She was 63 years of age.

Billie, as she was known, was born on July 2, 1938 at Anniston, Alabama to Myrtice and Lucille (Stephens) Daugherty.

She attended Blue Mountain School and grew to womanhood in Anniston. Billie lived in Columbus, Georgia for a brief time before moving to Phoenix City, Alabama in 1958.

She later moved to Valdosta, Georgia where she married Marion Charles Pritchard on May 9, 1980. In 1988 she moved to Elk City, Kansas and has lived in Longton since 1996.

Billie devoted her life to caring for her family.
She attended the Christian Community Church in Longton.

She is survived by her husband, Marion of Valdosta, Georgia; her daughters, Shannon Pritchard and Betty Petty, both of Longton and Janie Morgan of Panama City, Florida; her brothers, Joe Daugherty of Elk City and James Daugherty of Phoenix City, Alabama; her sisters, Sander Hampton of Smith, Alabama and Mildred Daugherty of Crawford, Alabama; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at the Simpson Cemetery near Elk City, Kansas with Bishop W. Don Cragun of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Independence, Kansas officiating.

A memorial has been established with the Christian Community Church of Longton. The funeral arrangements are being made with the Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.
