Obituary - Manti, Utah - Wanda Ostberg Young passed away at the age of 94. She left this life peacefully to join her husband, Mayo Balle Young, on Sunday, March 12, 2006.

She was born June 20, 1911, in Caineville, Utah, a daughter of Alfred and Elsie Cook Ostberg.

She is survived by her children: Betty Tomlinson of Manti; Bill Jones of Wasilla, Alaska; JoAnn Matson, Brent and Gloria Lee, Michele Garrick, Tami and Donald Davis, all of West Valley City; Lorraine Smith, Loftin and Wanda Lee, all of Salt Lake City; Evelyn Chlarson of Ephraim; Keith and Carolyn Young of Spring City, and special friend, Oliver Sequeira of Manti; she had many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Laura Hunt of Grantsville and Golda Cannon of Salt Lake City.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lana Lyn Lee; two sisters: Evangeline Godby and Lorraine Richardson and five brothers: Frank Hatt, Ellis Ostberg, Victor Ostberg, Traverse Ostberg and baby Alfred Ostberg.

Wanda loved her friends and family; she was deeply grateful for them.

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Heartfelt gratitude goes to the staff at Christus St. Joseph Villa for their excellent care of our Mother.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Jordan 6th LDS Ward Chapel, 3650 West 4400 South in West Valley City, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning two hours prior to the services. Burial will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 10600 South 1700 East in Sandy, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
