He received his education in the Monticello elementary schools. He was engaged in the cattle raising and farming business with his father.
He married Alice Lavenia Baker and later solemnized it in the Salt Lake Temple.
He served an L.D.S. Mission to the Central States from August 1908 to December 1910 where he was Conference President for 18 months. He also served a shorter mission to the Eastern States 11 December to June 1915. He also served as Boy Scout Master, in the High Council, and as Superintendent of M.I.A. He held the office of High Priest.
He lived in Monticello until December 1923,moving to Price, Utah, where he was engaged in the dairy business. In later years he was employed by the Price City Schools in the Maintenance Department.
He was living in Provo, Utah until a short time before his death.
Commonly known as "Bud" to his many friends and loved ones, he was always optimistic, cheerful, and anxious to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor, a "Buddie" to any child who sought his company. He was a good influence in their lives.
He passed away 11 July 1953, in Price, Utah,where he was buried.
