William Bishop
William Bishop, aged 71, husband of Mrs. Margaret (McKelvey) Bishop, died at 6:30 o'clock Sunday morning at his home in Evans City following an illness of about 3 years. He was born in Butler County and resided there his entire life. He had been engaged in the insurance and real estate business in Evans City for thirty-five years and was a member of the Evans City Lutheran Church.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Margaret Bishop, he is survived by two sons, Ausmus J. Bishop of North Side, Pittsburgh, and Harry M. Bishop of Evans City; two grandchildren, Ausmus Bishop, Jr., and Meredith A. Bishop; two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Spithaler and Mrs. Christina Nicklas of Evans City, and four brothers, Andrew Bishop of New Castle, Henry A. Bishop of Evans City, Louis Bishop of North Side, Pittsburgh, and Conrad R. Bishop of Evans City.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the family residence in Evans City with the Rev. C.W. Barnett, pastor of the Evans City Lutheran church, in charge. Burial will be made in the Evans City Cemetery.
