Passes Away
Funeral services at Mt. Clinton Thursday Afternoon
Lewis E. Thomas, 67, died yesterday evening at his home near Mt. Clinton, following an illness of six weeks. Death was due to complications.
Mr. Thomas was a farmer, and a highly respected citzen in the Mt. Clinton section. He had been a member of the United Brethen Church since boyhood.
Surviving is his wife, who was the former Miss Kate Joseph and four children, Gay and Daniel at home, Mrs. Hobert Moyers, of Mt. Clinton, Mrs. Harold Webster, of Harrisonburg, and one brother, Samuel Thompson, of Mt Clinton, and a half brother Joseph Dorsey, of Harrisonburg.
Funeral services will be held from the Mt. Clinton Mennonite church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. O. R. Kesner, assisted by the Rev. J. W. Hess. The casket will not be opened at the church, Interment will be in the nearby cemetery.
Cause of death: Dilatation of Heart due to arthritis
