Roland E. Fox, 70, of 410 Hamilton St., New Bethlehem, died yesterday at Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney, following a short illness.
Born May 1, 1902 in Cottage Hill, he was a son of George T. and Elizabeth (Young) Fox.
He and his brother, Harry, who died in December, 1970, owned and operated Motor Supply Company of New Bethlehem and were distributors for the American Oil Company for 35 years. Both retired in 1966.
He was a member of First Church of God, South Bethlehem.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel (Orr) Fox, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Nicholson and Mrs. William (Ellen) McKendrick, both of Punxsutawney, and Mrs. Robert (Elsie) Myers of South Bethlehem; two sisters, Misses May and Martha Fox, both of South Bethlehem and seven grandchildren.
An infant daughter, Shirley Jane, and one brother, Harry, are deceased.
FOX -- Friends of Roland E. Fox, who died Jan. 11, 1973, are being received at the Wayne B. McNaughton Funeral Home, 301 Penn St., New Bethlehem, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mason R. Traister, pastor of First Church of God, South Bethlehem, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery (Beautiful Lookout). Arrangements by McNaughton.
