Lyman then married Jeanie Sims on December 24. Lyman and Jeanie had one son, Assistant Postmaster Eugene Lindsay of Sparta. Jeanie died 1904.
On August 8, 1906, Lyman married Mary Jane McDougal. Lyman and Mary Jane had one son, now deceased, and two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Baker of Marissa and Miss Edith Lindsay of Sparta.
