Archie Leonard Lancaster, 84, of Trumann died Monday, June 18, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes. Born July 23,1916, in Cardwell, MO, he spent most of his life in the Trumann area, was a retired farmer and factory worker and a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Ann Lancaster, and one son, John Wayne Lancaster; two sisters, two brothers and was the son of the late Robert and Mollie Bradford Lancaster.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Imogene Lancaster of the home; two daughters, Carolyn McElyea and Marion Lancaster, both of Trumann; two sons, Archie Lancaster of Bay and Kenneth Lancaster, of Trumann; one sister, Ruby Dodd of Trumann; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 3
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann, with Ricky Forbis, Gene Loven and Boyd Hosman officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Forbis, Kevin Beaumont, Gary Holmes, Mike Shannon, Tim Ferguson and Darrell Rains. Honorary pallbearers will include Vernon Forbis, Jack Tarver, Lilburn Fowler and James Freeman.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the church.
