Garden Valley...The body of Dr. Walter L. Blackadar of Salmon, a nationally prominent kayaker, who died Saturday in the south fork of the Payette River, was found Sunday afternoon about 7 miles from where he was believed to have drowned. Blackadar, 55, a surgeon, apparently drowned about 3:15 p.m. Saturday when his kayak was swept beneath a log jam in the middle of the river. Searchers walked or floated along the river throughout much of Sunday.
