Funeral services for Ann Brannon Balhorn, 65, of Buna, were held June 11, 1988 in First Baptist Church in Buna with Rev. B. A. Carlin, Pastor, officiating. Additional services were held June 13 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home Chapel in Rockdale, with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Services were under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
She died June 8, 1988, in Beaumont Medical and Surgical Hospital after a short illness.
A native of Rockdale, she lived in Buna several years and was a retired owner / partner of Town and Country Foods in Buna.
Survivors include her husband Ed Balhorn of Buna; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Harriett Balhorn of San Antonio; one daughter, Jo Ann Sontag of Littleton, CO.; mother, Willie Brannon of Rockdale; two brothers, R. J. Brannon of Rockdale; two sisters, Adelle Ward of Sommerville and Dorothy Brademan of Giddings; and five grandchildren.
